Getronics names Carlos Layús Director of Global Human Resources
The former director of HR for Getronics Iberia and Latam, who has over twenty years of experience in the field of strategic consulting and new technologies, now assumes the global HR management of the technological giant.
Getronics, the global IT services company, which specializes in integrating innovative business solutions that support digital and human transformation in organizations, particularly in the fields of Applications, Blockchain, Process Automation, BI, Big Data, IoT, Omnichannel, Cloud and managed services, has appointed Carlos Layus as its new Global HR Director.
With a law degree from the University of Zaragoza, a Master’s in Business Administration and Management from ICADE and advanced specialization in M & A from IEB, Layus also has more than twenty years’ experience in the field of strategic consulting and new technologies. First joining the Getronics family in 2011 as Director of Human Resources and Support Services for Connectis, a group company, in 2012 Layus assumed the role of Managing Director of Connectis Consulting Services. Beginning in 2014, he was the HR director for Connectis Spain, and in January 2017 he was named HR director for Getronics Spain and Latam.
Now, as Director of Global Human Resources at Getronics and a member of the Board of Management, Layus assumes the responsibility of managing a multidisciplinary team of nearly 4,500 people in 22 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. “At Getronics we are starting a new and exciting journey. The Group wants to double the firm´s size and we are aware that our value and our potential lies in having the best team of people possible, ” explains Layus.
