Getronics deals reflect depth and breadth of services

Several recent contract announcements from Getronics reflect the increased breadth and depth of its IT services capabilities.

First up is its win with agricultural firm, Syngenta, to provide IT field support to over 31,000 users in 68 countries (APAC, Europe, Latin and North America) in addition to local service desk in 14 countries. Getronics will use a global platform to give the client a wider choice of technology while aiming to improve the user experience.

Getronics’ win at Brussels South Charleroi Airport demonstrates it can also land standalone networking/connectivity deals. Furthermore, the contract adds to its clutch of wins in the airport arena – see Getronics takes flight with AGS Airports win.

Meanwhile, the company has recently struck a deal with Portakabin to integrate a new Dynamics CRM solution. Getronics is also implementing Dell Boomi to integrate the CRM system with Portakabin’s ERP applications. This is a very important contract for Portakabin marking its largest investment in IT since it was founded more than 50 years ago.

The above examples show the breadth of services Getronics can now deliver, both in and out of the traditional infrastructure services space. Backed by investment firm, Aurelius, the company has gradually extended its capability, with acquisitions forming an integral part of its growth plan – for example, see Getronics closes Colt acquisition.
