We’ve had a busy start to the year so far, from launching a brand new website with a refreshed design to kicking off some exciting projects with customers including AGS Airports. But our biggest news yet comes today – as we announce the acquisition of Colt’s cloud business and the launch of our new Managed Cloud Services – a portfolio of cloud solutions designed to help organisations thrive in today’s digital economy.
This is an exciting time in Getronics’ journey as a workspace company. Our new cloud proposition will be fully integrated into Getronics’ broader portfolio of IT services, and will offer our customers Workspace-as-a-Service and Infrastructure-as-a-Service capabilities, whether that be through dedicated, shared or public cloud services.
Apart from acquiring part of Colt’s business, we’ve also formed a long-term strategic partnership with the company, where the Getronics family will provide Managed Cloud Services to Colt’s customer base and will utilise Colt’s network, voice and data centre capabilities.
That’s great news for both, Getronics’ and Colt’s customers. For us, it reconfirms our continued strategy of growth and significantly increases our critical mass in the European cloud market. The acquired Colt Managed Cloud business has been positioned by Gartner as a leader in the European Magic Quadrant for Cloud-enabled Managed Hosting for the past three consecutive years!
