For the third year, Getronics is participating in the Intelligent Sport® UK Challenge. This year’s event takes place in Stirling, Scotland from June 13th to 17th.
UK Challenge is the UK’s biggest and most respected team development event. The event combines adrenaline sports (including mountain biking, trail running, canoeing) with Strategy and Mental agility to stretch and develop team performance. Teams go head to head in a series of (2-6hr) ‘Stages’ in which they must use their ‘mind, body and team spirit’ to outwit their competitors.
UK Challenge involves around 80-90 teams of between 5 and 7 people from a wide range industries around the UK. Patrons of the event and competitors include Accenture, Adidas Group, Airbus UK, Allianz Insurance, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Capita Symonds, Heineken, Hewlett Packard, John Lewis, Johnson & Johnson, Lloyds Banking Group, Masters Pharmaceuticals, Microsoft, Rank Group, Sainsbury’s, Santander Cards, Southern Water, Syngenta and T-Systems.
Getronics is entering 3 teams of employees, from all across our UK organisation and the participants are training hard in preparation for the event. Those taking part are from a number of departments, including Finance, Service Desk, Field Services, HR, Service Delivery and many more.
This year the charity supported by Getronics is the Dame Kelly Holmes
Legacy Trust which works with disadvantaged young people. Getronics
have pledged £3000 and would like to raise as much money as possible
for such a worthy cause. We have set up a Virgin Money Giving page
Please show your support for our team and the great cause they are supporting by giving generously.
