Getronics Group CEO, Mark Cook features within Merger Market’s article discussing the continued consolidation of ECM and enterprise applications in 2015

The rabid digitisation of content and mobile internet traffic explosion has fuelled an overhaul in the way organizations operate and manage information across many industries. Faced with the complex task of overseeing huge influxes of data, businesses of all sizes are increasingly adopting new Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software and business applications.

In response, traditional global IT companies are moving further away from labour-intensive field engineering desktop support services and into the more remote cloud-enabled offshore services, according to Mark Cook, CEO at ICT services group Getronics. The scramble to update outdated enterprise systems will boost enterprise IT spending to USD 335bn in 2015, up 5.5% from 2014, according to Gartner.
