As many of you know, the new Getronics brand was created in collaboration with Pentagram. Pentagram is widely regarded as one of the best brand agencies in the world, they have worked with brands including Rolls-Royce, Netflix, Slack, Starbucks, Nike, Google, Mastercard, Harley Davidson, New York Times, 21st Century Fox, Walt Disney, Saks Fifth Avenue, MIT, Stanford, Oprah Winfrey, Harry Potter, Hillary Clinton …. and Getronics.

Time is Time

A significant amount of time and money has been invested into creating a distinctive brand. A brand the stands out from the crowd, that is memorable, and remarkable.

In order to maintain this level of quality, here are some things to keep in mind as you write:

  1. Assume that nobody cares about us, Getronics, or you. It’s probably not far from the truth. People care, primarily, about themselves. Ask yourself, how does what you are writing help the reader?
  2. Estimates predict that well over 5 million blog posts are published every single day. The world does not need more content. How does your stand out?
  3. What action do you want people to take next?

Another Awesome Title

Digital transformation has long been climbing up the business agenda as organisations seek to improve efficiency and unlock new growth opportunities. You know the saying, an image tells a thousand words. So, where possible, we want to use images to tell our stories. We add some basic formatting for you, including a thin white border that surrounds the entire image to frame it. We also format the image caption text, which describes what it’s showing.

There are some caveats to this though. Firstly, if in doubt, use a pre-approved brand image even if its not directly relevant to the text. We have a range of textures and patterns that do a great job of breaking up the text.

Pull Quotes

Where possible, all of our content should include a pull quote. As the name implies, this is a quote “pulled” from somewhere else. We handle the styling of these for you, all you need to provide is the test, the name of the person that said it, and the company they work for.

Quotes are a really nice way of providing authority to the article, and of breaking up the text.
