Headquartered in Birmingham, UK, with approximately 4,000 dedicated staff, the RAC operates from three bases, offering vehicle and breakdown services up and down the UK to both private and business motorists.
In 2014, the RAC’s patrol force of approximately 1,500 patrols attended to 2.3 million rescue breakdowns. The RAC’s activities include breakdown cover with roadside assistance, insurance, buying a used car, telematics, vehicle inspections and checks, legal services and up-to-theminute traffic and travel information.
The RAC was looking for an IT provider who would deliver a nimble, agile IT solution that would act as a key enabler on their path of growth and keeping ahead of the competition. This included management of the company’s entire IT infrastructure, website hosting and service desk support.
