Getronics has received the Advanced Technology Partner status in order to support Cisco TelePresence within the Cisco ATP programme. Talk & Vision, a subsidiary of KPN and a specialist in video communications, will be taking charge of the sales, implementation and managed video services, among other things. Talk & Vision is going to be used as the European Expert Center for Cisco's video conferencing.
Michiel Panders, Commercial Director of Service Providers at Cisco says: “We can now compliment Getronics and Talk & Vision since they have met all the requirements and criteria of our ATP-Cisco TelePresence programme, which has earned them our Cisco recognition. Both parties have gone to a lot of trouble to integrate their sales and support activities to meet the strict requirements for employee certification. By meeting these standards they have convinced us that they are well-prepared for the sales, development, installation and support of the technology and products that are all an integral part of the ATP programme.”
John van Vianen, Director of Information & Communication Solutions at Getronics adds: “The market for videoconferencing continues to be a fast-growing market, mainly because many companies realise the importance of 'Het Nieuwe Werken' (The new way of working). By using videoconferencing and telepresence, companies are able to cut back on their travelling expenses and increase productivity within their organisation. Recognition from Cisco is another confirmation of the position of Getronics and Talk & Vision as the leading managed provider for video services. By expanding our portfolio with Cisco systems, we are in a position to offer companies additional services and opportunities. The trust that Cisco has placed in us by awarding us this certification shows that we can also offer added value to their products.”
