Commercial Services (the trading division of Kent County Council) was set up to provide goods and services for the council’s own directorates and for a range of approved public bodies.
Locations: Commercial Services’ headquarters is based in Kent County Council’s offices in Maidstone. Commercial Services operates 16 business units in Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex.
Activities: Commercial Services is tasked to deliver products and services that represent best value for money and meet local government purchasing legal requirements.
Challenge: To refresh IT infrastructure, including storage, VM Hosts and Windows Terminal Services servers whilst offering a hosted desktop service to both Public and Private sector customers.
